Application and platform

The 0.3.3 download includes the browser GUI and CLI. Its installer requires Node.js >=24.0.0. Launch the local workspace with day-shift serve --open.

macOS/Linux and Windows archives are published. The dated evidence below distinguishes archive checks from native execution tests.

Chat-provider connections

The browser GUI supports Codex app-server and OpenAI-compatible connections. Configure your own provider, model, and credentials.

An API-compatible endpoint is not a guarantee that every model or provider works identically. Remote inference sends prompts and selected context to that provider and may incur charges.

Take the task’s scope, instructions, and validation expectations to your preferred coding agent. The agent implements source changes outside Day Shift.

Portable instructions do not certify an integration or enforce every agent action. Review the code and returned evidence before accepting work.
